WITH PENCIL AND ERASER
This item ships from our NH location.
Madeira’s Top Thread Tension Tracker helps you keep a record of each thread types optimal tension numbers; when used in conjunction with the Digital Tension Gauge: item 200-60-L.
Madeira’s tension tracker has a release paper that is removed prior to pressing the cling to a solid non-porous surface such as your embroidery machine table. The cling feature allows you to easily peel off and replace as needed. Includes a handy pencil to record your personal numbers. Pencil writing can be erased and written again as needed.
Poor tensions result in unsightly bobbin thread showing on top of the embroidery, top stich looping and thread breaks. Thread tensions range vary by thread type, by fabric, and even by machine. You should run tension test with the thread types you use to determine where the optimal tensions fall for your specific machine.
Getting your embroidery thread tensions balanced and consistent means you spend more time stitching and less time rethreading and making repeated adjustments. Using a digital tension gauge takes the guesswork out of this necessary and important task. When using a digital tension gauge (200-60-L), users may find that their numbers can differ by as much as +/- 10gf.
Record your personal tension numbers on this tracking cling and refer to them when using different thread types.
PLEASE NOTE: Adjust the bobbin case tension first before setting your top thread tensions. Also, be sure to check the tension on you bobbin thread each time you replace you bobbin. Bobbin case tensions should fall between 25gf and 35gf.
