E-Zee Cap® Supreme 2.5 oz. is a superior medium-weight Tear Away stabilizer designed specifically to fit in cap frames.
E-Zee Cap® Supreme 2.5 oz. backing maintains consistent tension throughout the stitching process to produce clean, clear, and crisp designs—even on detailed cap embroidery. It runs smoothly at high stitch speeds and delivers excellent registration with lettering as small as 2.5mm. After stitching, the crisp tear-away structure allows for smooth, clean removal with minimal stabilizer residue.
A single piece provides dependable support for small to medium designs on low-profile caps, while using two pieces delivers added stability for larger designs on high-profile caps. Ideal for the front, sides, and back of structured and unstructured caps, this medium-weight stabilizer offers reliable control when heavy support isn’t required. Currently available in black to complement a wide range of cap materials and dark colors.

Helpful Hints:
To help prevent flagging, begin with a design that is properly digitized for caps. Designs should stitch from the center outward and from the brim up. Keep all elements within the designated sewing area of the cap and frame. Most caps require a sharp needle; if you experience needle breaks, review your hooping technique. The embroidery area should be hooped tightly and positioned as close to the needle plate as possible. Using a longer piece of backing that covers approximately two-thirds of the cap can improve hooping and stability. Selecting caps that are compatible with your machine and using appropriate underlay stitches can also help reduce flagging.
